Based at Teesdale Leisure Centre in Barnard Castle, we are an inclusive and friendly amateur swimming club. We welcome swimmers who have achieved Learn to Swim stage 5-6, to train at any of our three weekly sessions.

Please note that  arrangements have changed during the temporary closure of Teesdale Leisure Centre Pool: 
As a result of the  partnership with Richmond Dales swimming club however, Tiger Sharks are able to  continue training in that club’s  sessions as also in a designated Sunday (11-till 1) Tiger Sharks session at Richmond Pool.

Our squads are fully inclusive and our aim is to encourage young swimmers into our sport. Our club environment and our highly qualified coaching team support swimmers towards achieving their full potential.



Inspire to Swim

We are excited to launch our new ‘Inspire to Swim’ programme, offering swimmers the opportunity to develop their swimming technique and learn competitive racing skills. 

For a one-off fee of £30 swimmers will receive:

- 10 x 1 hour sessions with a fully qualified Swim England Coach/Teacher
- T-shirt, swim hat and drinks bottle 
- Information on nutrition and hydration
